It’s no secret that many African-American women struggle to tame their tresses. “The reason we have to put so much time and love into our hair is because our hair textures are different. It’s all about texture,” says Veronica Forbes, whose Harlem salon, Veronica’s Beautyrama, plays a major role in the documentary “Good Hair.” The film from funnyman  Chris Rock (in theaters Oct. 9) explores the relationship young African-American girls have with their hair.
